Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 July 2026
Summary RunDouble does not store your
workouts, your location or an account for you on our servers. The
workout upload and sync features have been removed from the app, and
the runs you record stay on your own device. The only information
handled on our behalf is advertising data and anonymous crash
diagnostics, both collected by third party providers and described
below.
What information do we collect?
- From the app: nothing is sent to us. You do not
need an account to use RunDouble. The details of your runs and
workouts, including GPS location, are recorded and kept on your
device only. We do not receive them, and we cannot see them.
- Advertising: RunDouble displays adverts supplied
by third party ad networks, including Google. To serve and measure
those adverts the ad network may collect your device's advertising
identifier, IP address, general device information and your
interactions with the adverts. This information is collected by the
ad network, not by us, and is governed by its own privacy policy.
See Google's
policy for partner sites and apps.
- Crash and error reports: if the app stops
unexpectedly, an anonymous diagnostic report may be sent to our crash
reporting provider. These reports contain technical information such
as the device model, operating system version and the point in the
software where the fault occurred. They do not contain your name,
e-mail address, workouts or location.
- From this website: our web servers keep standard
request logs containing the IP address, browser type and time of each
request. We use these only to keep the site running securely.
What do we use your information for?
Crash reports are used solely to find and fix faults in the app.
Advertising data is used by the ad network to select and measure the
adverts shown to you. Server logs are used for security and to
diagnose technical problems with the site. We do not use any of it to
build a profile of you, and we do not use it for marketing.
Do we disclose any information to outside parties?
We do not sell, trade or otherwise transfer your personal
information to outside parties. We hold no workout data or account
data to disclose. We may release information where we are legally
required to do so, or to protect our rights, property or safety, or
those of others.
Payments Any purchase of RunDouble or of
additional training plans is handled by the app store or by our
payment provider. We do not receive or store your card details.
How long do we keep your data? (Data retention)
- Accounts and workout data: none retained. We no
longer operate workout upload, sync or sharing, we do not create
accounts, and we hold no user profiles, workouts, routes or GPS data
on our servers. Any user data previously held from the earlier
version of the service has been deleted from our systems.
- Data on your device: the workouts recorded by the
app remain on your device for as long as you choose to keep them.
They are removed when you delete them in the app, clear the app's
data, or uninstall RunDouble. We have no copy.
- Crash and error reports: retained by our crash
reporting provider for no longer than 90 days, then automatically
deleted.
- Website server logs: retained for no longer than
30 days, then automatically deleted.
- Advertising data: retained by the ad network
under its own retention policy, over which we have no control. See
the ad network's privacy policy, linked above.
How to delete your data (Data deletion requests)
Because we do not hold accounts or workout data, there is
normally nothing held by us for us to delete. You can still do the
following:
- Delete the data on your device by deleting
individual workouts in the app, or by removing all of it at once:
uninstall RunDouble, or go to Settings → Apps → RunDouble
→ Storage → Clear data on your Android device. This is
immediate and permanent.
- Reset or delete your advertising identifier in
your device settings, under Settings → Google → Ads, which
stops the current identifier being linked to further advertising
data.
- Ask us to delete anything we may still hold.
E-mail help@rundouble.com
with the subject "Data deletion request", or write to us at the
postal address below. Tell us the e-mail address you previously used
with RunDouble, if you had one, so that we can identify any remaining
records. We will action the request and confirm to you in writing
within 30 days, at no charge. If we hold nothing about you, we will
tell you that.
You may also ask us for a copy of any personal data we hold
about you, or ask us to correct it, using the same contact details.
Do we use cookies? This website uses
cookies to remember your preferences between visits. Adverts shown in
the app and on this site may use cookies or similar identifiers, as
described under Advertising above. You can refuse cookies in your
browser settings; the site will still work.
Third party links Occasionally we may
link to third party products or services. Those sites have separate
and independent privacy policies, and we have no responsibility or
liability for their content or activities.
Children's privacy RunDouble is not
directed at children. We do not knowingly collect any information from
anyone under 13 years of age. Our website, products and services are
directed to people who are at least 13 years old.
